J. Kata and his wife have two daughters. Their home also boasts 3 dogs, several cats, and more horses than any normal person should boast about. J enjoys fishing, hunting, shooting and spending time with friends on the farm. During family time the Kata’s breed and show horses, spend quiet nights at home, and go on fishing trips. J is an avid Star Trek fan and went to the University of Indiana at South Bend. J has been with HVC since 2018 and is committed to HVC providing the very best standard of care for the fur families of Southeast Iowa. Before coming to HVC J had an extensive management career in steel fabrication and construction.
